PRIMEGROUT HP is the ultimate high strength and high performance non shrink grout with a controlled volumetric expansion of 0.5%.
PRIMEGROUT HP expands not through gas formation as what happens with grouts of alumina or carbon-containing compounds. A grout that expands with the aid of gas formation forms voids due to aeration, which eventually reduces the strength of the in-placed material.
In contrast, PRIMEGROUT NM expands by recrystallization, a process by which crystalline silica particles enlarge to completely fill the voids and densify the mix, resulting in a stronger and longer- lasting grout.

Clean all contact surfaces until free from oil, grease, dirt, etc. For a concrete surface that will receive grout, use 5% hydrochloric acid to provide a scarified surface. Wash off with plenty of water to remove any acid that can cause corrosion. Neutralize any free acid with ammonia water, then flush again with water. Clean all metal surfaces free from surface rust, paint and oils.
Prior to placing the grout, wet the base to the point of saturation. Then, just prior to placing the grout, remove all free or excess water.
Mixing and Placing
Remember to use the minimum water consistent with the place ability of mix desired. Keep in mind that adding excess water is a poor practice. This table is just a general guideline. Please consult our technical engineer for more details

In order to get the strength as tabulated, the amount of water has to be strictly followed. When increasing the amount of water, the strength will materially drop, and the adhesion will suffer so that the bonding will not be as strong. The above results may vary due to uncontrollable factors. But the results are based the latest experiment on controlled conditions done every quarter. Users are urged to do their own testing for best results.
PRIMEGROUT HP can be mixed in a simple concrete mixing pan by hand or in a mortar batch mixer. Mix in two steps. First, add 2 / 3 of the total amount of water required, mix for a short time, and then add the 1 / 3 balance amount of water. Mix again for 2 to 3 minutes and place the grout.
Mix only enough grout for immediate use. If more than one mix is required, have the successive batches ready for continuous placement.
In order to prevent the formation of voids, pour from one side or one center entrance point only. Support elements are to be anchored to prevent movement. Pumping, poking or vibrating can be done without fear of segregation. If necessary, erect forms with sufficient strength and which are firmly anchored, allowing access for placement of grout. Forms should be sealed or caulked to prevent leakage of grout and must be coated with a form release. (Use Philprime's PRIMEFORM FA).
